Great book signing for "The Latino Century" with LA Times columnist Gustavo Arellano at the Alta Baja Mercado in the heart of one of the biggest Latino cities in USA, downtown Santa Ana, California.
This was a great discussion! I have been following Mike for over 4 years and have read his book cover to cover, and yet I heard a few more nuanced perspectives that were new to me, but more importantly, gave me a deeper understanding of Mike's personal journey and his lifelong work which has always transcended partisan politics. His focus is and has always been on advocating for and improving the lives of the working class people who hold this country together.
I just started reading Mike's work in advance of attending the talk on Saturday with Gustavo. My husband joined me and was all in during the entire conversation. We both are ready to dive into his book.
