Appreciate the objective analysis. It's increasingly difficult to separate signal from noise.

I'd be interested in your take on 2 cross-currents that seem to be impacting the Latino community.

I watched a segment on the sharp rise of Latino Evangelicals (which has been amplified and supported by right-wing dollars and influencers). To what extent will this further divide the community, and what if anything, can/should Democrats do to retain support amongst this subset?

The hard right turn of young men of all colors is not just a political concern, but a societal concern. Has this shift impacted GenZ Latino males to the same extent as GenZ White males? If so, are there solutions unique to different sub-communities or is this an overall GenZ male issue?

Great questions! I’m gonna be writing on Latino evangelicals/Catholics and non-practicing soon so I’m gonna punt that question if that’s ok…it’s a good one

The second question is a really good one and I’m seeing the movement of US born Latino males towards politicization and behavior that’s very similar to white non-Hispanic males.

Theres a bigger debate that our society is just beginning to have about what to do with men as traditional roles dissipate and as male college educated rates drop compared to women.

It’s a very significant social development we should not dismiss or make light of. It could be very destructive to have too many men unfulfilled and with no future.

Okay...I have canvassed since 2017...but fall 2024 is when the arthritis in knees and something going on with my left foot has me "resting." Which I hate. Anyway, September 12 , I go to the podiatrist (enjoy Norm MacDonald's bit on "the moth and the podiatrist"). Hoping to get what it takes to walk my neighborhood once more. Gives me time to see if I can swing one Republican neighbor into the Harris/Walz vote. "High Value..... Voter." In addition, y'all younger knee-ed Americans, get out there and GOTV!!! I'm 73. Mike, have fun with your buddies in Austin.

Mike, On your Zoom call a few weeks ago with Jennifer Horn and the "Republican Women against Trump (or for Harris)" PAC (not sure about that name), I think I recall your saying that a good way to reach young Latino men is through their madres and abuelas. If this is the case, can you talk some about how you think the Harris campaign is doing with their messaging in this regard?
