Why this war is different

Three reasons why this war in the middle east is different than the last ones

Americans are getting used to a new war in the middle east every generation. From the Gulf War in 1991 to the current engagement there have been very few years in the life of most living Americans where there hasn’t been some American life, treasure or weaponry being lost nearly every day.

But this current episode is different. Only one in 4 Americans support the current conflict and there are three reasons why: Most Americans don’t know why were there, Most Americans don’t believe Iran was an imminent threat and most Americans don’t believe this is going to be a short conflict.

And rarely do wars get more popular over time.
