I am always impressed with the breadth and depth of your commentary and analysis. What are you seeing with the young voters?

Thank you, Mike for your excellent pre-debate analysis! I watched the debate on YouTube on The Hill channel and watched you afterwards. Disappointed that we couldn’t see the last 30 minutes of the debate with the policy heavy questions from constituents live. I would like to follow the donation money on each of these candidates so will be delving into that next to understand them more.

I love seeing Mike with a primary he can really sink his teeth into, also love the comments here from Californians. I'm so looking forward to Mike's and your comments after the debate!

Excellent talk about tonight’s California’s upcoming Governor primary. Since Swalwell’s disastrous withdrawal from race, I have not been able to commit to another candidate, so am looking forward to watching this. I believe he said 8:30 PM, on 3 different stations.

Becerra is not “blue collar”. His parents were, yes. Becerra is married to a doctor and he is a lawyer.

Ok, now I’m prepped and ready for the debate. Interesting Talarico data. Quite insightful.

Also, Steyer won Teachers endorsement.

What about Betty Yee endorsing Steyer? She is a highly respected Democrat and party stalwart.

Porter should step down... she's simply too polarizing, and has no chance of winning.

I still think Steyer has the best positions (and prescriptions) for addressing housing, income inequality, single-payer healthcare, etc. The fact that he's a billionaire doesn't render him ineffective (Pritzker has been a fine governor).

Becerra looks great on paper, but hecwas relatively ineffective in thd Biden administration, and he's a very cautious politician. CA needs bold leadership, and plans not slogans.

We didn’t forget about Katie video!

The aftermath of the Swalwell implosion has been nothing short of fascinating. I am very interested in seeing of Becerra's rise will last. Thanks for the perspectives Mike.

The Democratic Party is toxic.

So appreciate all you’re doing to keep us informed! As a CA voter, the field feels overwhelming…. Looking forward to your analysis on Substack tomorrow, but I’ll look for you on CNN tonight

I appreciate the way you are framing the overarching issues that so many of us can relate to. I hate that a billionaire is getting support! No no
